Chapter 7 filed 9-06 now named in a trust

What is the name of your state? NY
I filed for Chapter 7 in August of 2006, it was completed November 2006. I have a great uncle who passed in October 2007 and had a farm trust in Kansas that named my brothers and I as persons to recieve some of the trust and its monies. The trust will not be disbursed until July/August of 2008.

My question is, how long after filing for Chapter 7 do you need to tell the courts, and if this land/money goes directly into another trust, will that help protect it(maybe it doesn't need protecting).

The land has been in my family since the late 1700's, and I would rather give it to both my brothers than have it sold out from under me.

You're fine. It's 180 days from your filing date.
