Chapter 7 Jurisdiction Question

What is the name of your state?

OHIO

I have a quick question regarding the jurisdiction in which to file. I lived in Marion County, which is in the Northern District Court(Toledo Branch).
Would it be beneficial to get an attorney located in Marion or could I get one that is located in any of the counties listed for that court? The reason I ask is because I just moved to New York(less than 30 days ago) and it would be much closer for me to drive to, say Asthabula and sign paperwork than to go all the way back to Marion.

Also, how long does a typically take to file paperwork with the court? I am trying to beat the Oct. 17th deadline and I was told that the deadline for filing here in NY was Sept. 17th. Does it generally take an entire month to get something filed with the courts?

Any help would be appreciated.

Matt
