chapter 7, pending marriage

What is the name of your state? Delaware

I'm considering filing for bankruptcy, but am concerned about the effect that it will have on my soon to be spouse. Will a bankruptcy that was filed before I was married appear on my new spouse's credit report?

No it won't. Were I you, I'd file the bk and get it discharged before the wedding.
