Chapter 7 questionWhat is the name of your state? OR If I filed chapter 7, and all the debt is dischargeable except for $15,000 in credit card debt (which is objected), can the discharge still go through? If so, after the discharge, would you make a deal with the three credit card companies to pay an amount each month until the debt is paid off? I know there is no payment plan with a chapter 7, but didn't know how you would pay the undischargeable debt when you obviously would not have that much money available. |

| Yes, the rest of your debts would likely be discharged. You would have to make some arrangements to pay the non-discharged portion.. or, they'll just sue you for it post-discharge.

Chapter 7 questionIs it uncommon to have the non-discharged debt be made in monthly payments with the creditor? Or do they normally want all the non-discharged debt paid at once? |
