Question

Chapter 7 renter questions

What is the name of your state? New Jersey
I am unemployed, receiving public assistance and need to finish submitting my chapter 7 documents in the next two days. I am a renter and am uncertain about the status of my rental apartment under current lease. I also have two judgements entered against me. Considering my apartment and security deposit can be seized for non payment via judgement for eviction as well as any future wages or bank accounts with the judgements I have, should these items be listed as Secured Claims on Schedule D? If so then what should I check off on my Statement of Intention regarding property of the estate. I want to retain my apartment and plan to make all future payments due but it gives me only 3 choices: property is claimed as exempt, property will be redeemed or debt will be reaffirmed. Should I choose Reaffirm? I have been approved for rental assistance due to come as stated by November 5th this week for back rent and current rent due but what if State funds are late with payments? I don't want to forfeit any protection I may have. Must I choose a statement in listing my apartment in the Property to Be Retained section? Any help would be well appreciated. I have been trying to finish my documents all day with researching info and am exhausted. Be blessed!
