Question

Chapter 7 Roth IRA (Texas)

The Trustee has filed an objection to exempting my Roth IRA account. Most of the Roth is from the conversion of my Traditional IRA back in 1998. The Traditional IRA was comprised of about half deductible and half nondeductible contributions. Texas law is clear on deductible and nondeductible Traditional IRA contributions and Roth contributions, but I can't find anything regarding Roth IRA Conversions.

Please help!

I'm filing Chapter 7

Thanks for the links...I found those over the weekend. They don't address the Roth Conversion issue.

nailtech...re: Ch 7

Thanks for the quick response!

I'm filing under Texas exemptions as I have about $40K equity in my house.

No, I have an attorney. I'm just a very hands on guy and want to do as much research on the issues as possible.
