Chapter 7 and scared

What is the name of your state? Fl.

Hi. We just filed Chapter 7, and we had to list our children's trampoline as part of sports equipment. Also had to list our tv's, desks, etc... Does the trustee (or whoever) come to our house and take these things? All of our assests we listed we purchased years ago, and are paid for. Also, what happens at the 341 meeting? Thank you very much in advance.

The Trustee is never going to show up at your house. IF the Trustee decides you have assets that could be sold, at some point someone might show up to collect those items. FL has a puny personal property exemption of $1000 so I hope you used garage sale values for all of your 'stuff'. The other alternative is redemption - meaning you pay the Trustee the value of the property and you keep it.

341 Meeting, for most people, takes less than 10 minutes. You're sworn in, you sit with the Trustee and he/she asks you a series of questions. If you're really worried about it, I suggest you take some time one day and go to the BK court and sit in and listen to a few 341's .
