Chapter 7 and Tickets

What is the name of your state? PA

I brought a car for my daughter in March of this year...And by her credit being bad she could not get a car in her name and me being a sofitie went and got a cheap car in my name with her paying every two weeks until it was paid off..well..unknown to me she could not get a valid inspection on the car and got fakes...in May she was stopped by the police and given a ticket.
the ticket is--Voliation-Permitting Voliation Title --and I dont even know where this place is...she says she was trying to save up the money to pay before I found out**************
I did not know about the tickets until last month.. during that time I was filing a chp 7 and had put that ticket on it...My Lawyer said that it might or might not go thru.. the ticket is for 261.00 and said that I had 72 hrs to pay the ticket...So my question is..... does Chapter 7 cover these types of tickets

It may NOT be dischargeable under the following:

523. Exceptions to discharge
Release date: 2004-03-18

(a) A discharge under section 727, 1141, 1228 (a), 1228 (b), or 1328 (b) of this title does not discharge an individual debtor from any debt—


(7) to the extent such debt is for a fine, penalty, or forfeiture payable to and for the benefit of a governmental unit, and is not compensation for actual pecuniary loss, other than a tax penalty

Presumably, the fine is payable to the state, so it may survive your bankruptcy.
