Checking account and wagesWhat is the name of your state?FL Hi, I am about to file for BK but not sure about what assests should I list. I have a checking account in my name only that I get direct deposit on from my employer. The amount being deposited is more than $500/week. I am claiming Head of Household and I beleive I can exempt $500/week (is this $500 net or gross?). However , I have expenses that will net my monthly income to +$27. What should I put as wage, bank accounts, and which exemption? |

| Not sure which assets to list ??? You list ALL your assets, you don't get to pick and choose. You cannot "exempt" wages when you file for bankruptcy. FL gives you $1000 in personal property exemptions. If you've got a lot of money in the bank when you file, then the Trustee is liable to make you turn it over. Just make sure your bank balance is very low on filing day. If you don't know what the exemptions are, I suggest you talk to a lawyer.
