co signer bankrupt

What is the name of your state?
I live in Kansas. My problem is that when my son purchase a mobil Home we were suppose to be co-signing on it for him but it ended up being the home is in mine and my husband name and then my son as the third party. Now my son is wanting to declare bankrupt and get out from under this home. He has had this for 13 years and still owes 28,0000. My question is can my husband and I delcare bankrupt on this home only and not bankrupt on any of our bills. We are able to make the payments on what we have but there would be no way we could afford to take over the payments on this home. Did not know if you could delcare bankrupt on certian items and not mess with other creditors.
