| Long story short....collection agency called last weeek to collect on medical bill never submitted to insurance co. in 96....what is tatute of limitations on collecting medical bills and am i responsible for the provider neglecting to submit proper paperwork...oh, also...no contact was ever made from either the provider or the collection agency until now!!!! Thanks for your input |

| I don't know your state but I'd defend as follows -- the Dr. failed to file, and thus prejudiced your right to recover (most insurers give only a year or 2 to file claims).
