I have a question regarding the FTC Section 809 that says that after I dispute they have to provide proof of it being a valid debt. However, the proof that they provided was incorrect also, but they refused to address this with me. Are they obligated to get this correct? Maybe it is minor but the end results were that they said I didn't have medical coverage because they had the year as 1999 when the bill they are collecting on is from 1997. The bill was from Indiana. Although, I know live in Ohio.
