Confused in Florida

I need to find out how long you have to wait after the sale of property to file chapter 7? Thanks!

I was told that you could not have sold property within the last 12 or 18 months ( I can't remember) or the money made on the sale would have to go to settle debt. I did make alittle money but I used it to live on until my divorce was final because I have 2 children and my xhusband would not help with the kids. Will this effect my filing chapter 7?
