Cost of filing bankruptcy

What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state?

Hello to all,
I'm wondering about the fee charged for filing chapter 7 bankruptcy.
I'm still trying to decide if I will procede with the above, but if I do decide to**************..wondering what I'm looking at in terms of lawyers fees, etc. Just a ballpark figure would suffice at this point.

No one here is going to be able to do that for you. The fees charged vary widely from state to state and even by area within each state. Fees range anywhere from $500 to $2000 depending on where you are.

The fees will be going up soon, probably dramatically so because of the new law which goes into effect on 10/17. If you're going to file for Ch 7, get it done and filed BEFORE 10/17 or you may be sorry you waited !
