I filled a Chapter 7.In Sept. 2000 I will already be discharged 3 years. I have my schedule F and on it it lists all the creditors that were discharged but some still appear on my credit reports. Why and what should I do. It also doesnt state I was discharged but I have the Discharge paper from the courts. I was told they should of been removed. Thank you .

My response:

Even in this computerized world, sometimes information is slow in being received, or even dealt with.

So, you should obtain 3 "Certified Copies" of your Discharge papers from the courthouse clerk - - the cost is cheap. Send them, Certified Mail, to all of the credit reporting agencies, with a request that your credit report be amended to show the discharge of the listed creditors.

That's all.
