Is a creditor allowed to ....

talk to someone about your account who is not now and has never been on your account??? We are in a 3 month dispute with our mortgage company over some of our checks that they lost. I have copies to prove I have paid up, but last week they called my mother and openly told her about the whole situation. The only two people listed on the account are me and my husband. The man told my mother who he was, the company he was with , the problem , etc... Can they do this ?????? I am in TEXAS, so Is my mortgage company.

No. They can not even talk to your mother about your personal finances and credit. Call and write a complaint letter to the bank manager.
