I am in a position now where I can finally pay the debt in full, and for quite some time (I estimate at around 6 months) I have not received an account statement. I have called and left messages repeatedly, but to no avail. I know I owe him money, there is no question about that. The question is how much. I would be sending him a certified letter within the next few days, but I do not have his address. What do I do now?

My response:
Hang onto your money, put it in the bank to earn interest, and merely wait for him to contact you. When he gets hungry enough, he'll come around. Or, you can look him up in your phone books, business and white pages, to see if he or the business is listed. Call the information operator. Otherwise, there's nothing else you can do.
