Cool

creditor notification

What is the name of your state? UTAH

My question is in reference to what the law is regarding notification of changes in an account after claiming chapter 13.

Our mortgage comapny raised our insurance premium and sent no notice, neither to us nor to our attorney......

We understand that the laws prevent them from taking collections actions, but we didn't even have any way of knowing of this change..... I mean if were to have not found out now (still 8 months after they raised the fees and a significant amount behind... ) we could have lost our home because we must stay current on payments.

Isn't there some law the says they must notify us just of these types of changes just as they would anyone else? All the mortgage company says is that we can't get out of paying the premium.... and that isn't what we want- but it is a significant raise (in-fact 2 over the 8 months) and they want payment in full of the entire past due amount.

If anyone has information or knows some place that I can find the legal info concerning this I would be grateful! Thanks.
