| as a surviving spouse,am I responsible for debts that are in my husbands name only, such as car, credit card? I assume that I am responsible for home mortgage which is in both names. Thank you, Judy Fraser Mi |

If they were incurred before marriage, then the creditors can file their claims with the court against the Estate. As to joint debts, yes also.
