Is a widow responsible for her deceased husbands medical bills?

Did your deceased husbnd leave any estate? If so, then those bills need to be paid out of it and a debt of the deceased. If there were no assets, then it is doubtful the widow will be liable for the bills. Of course, if the deceased put all the assets in just the widow's name, then it is likely that the creditors will see through this as will the courts.
