direct deposit to frozen accountWhat is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?NC I am filing for bankruptcy 10/12. My paycheck is to be direct deposited into my checking account 10/31. My 2nd mortgage is with the bank my checking account is in and I cannot stop the direct deposit until the following pay period. Now I'm worried. The lawyer says my bank will freeze that account once I file next week, but that we'll be able to get the money from my direct deposit back. Does anyone know how this all plays out? I need the money to pay my mortgage on Nov 1. |

| Why will the account be frozen? Are you in default with the 2nd? |

| My lawyer said they will "freeze" the account when I file. I guess I don't know what that means. No, I am not in default and have never been late on the 2nd mortgage. |

| Freeze the account means deny you access to your funds. If you're not in default on a loan from that bank, I've no idea why they'd freeze the account. Yes, they'll be notified of the bk but they've no reason to freeze your account. |
