Do I need a lawyer to file a motion for relief of stay?Washington State - Our tenant filed for bankruptcy when she owed us about $1000. After filing, she continued to miss rent payments and now owes about $3000. She finally moved out but we would like to collect the post-petition debts she incurred. Do we need a lawyer to file a relief of/from stay? |

| You need a WA bankruptcy lawyer to advise you whether to file a motion for relief from the stay AND whether you even need relief to sue for post-petition use and occupation. The answer depends on several factors, most especially including what chapter the tenant filed under.
