Unhappy

I will try to be as brief as possible here...

About a year ago I required what was supposed to be a routine surgical proceedure in which the maximum hospital stay was to be one night (if at all). I was between medical insurances at the time. I went to my bank and was able to secure a promise for a loan to cover 80% of the bill. Well the surgery was far from routine (nothing to do with the doctors and everything to do with my anatomy being backwards) and I ended up having 3 surgeries in one month. Of course this racked up extensive hospital and doctor bills. We are trying to pay as much as we can to all concerned, but they are getting impatient and threatening to garnish wages, take our home, etc. I didn't ask for over $25,000 in medical bills and I certainly do not want to lose my home or wages needed to support our family. Any advice on what roads I can explore regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. I was told of a medical bankruptcy that would include the medical bills only, but I have yet to find any information on that.

Thank you in advance.
