Effects of bankruptcy on credit rating

What is the name of your state? Oklahoma
If I file for bankruptcy, how hard would it be to get a home or auto loan in the future? How bad does bankruptcy hurt your credit rating?

BK is as bad as it gets short term. Longterm, the affect lessens as time goes by.
Two years of clean credit post bk will allow you to qualify for an FHA mortgage.
