Federal Law/State lawWhat is the name of your state?IL I recently filed bankruptcy on bills that had my name and my ex-wife's name on it. I filed for bankruptcy in IN and we divorced in IL. I recently received a letter from her lawyer, stating that regardless of my bankruptcy filing, I need to continue paying my part of the loan. If i refused to make payment, she was going to increase my child support payment by the amount to cover my part of the loan payment. How legal is this? |

| If i refused to make payment, she was going to increase my child support payment by the amount to cover my part of the loan payment. Very legal if, she can get the judge that is hearing the child supposrt issue to agree. That may or may not happen. |
