You're in deep trouble if you're doing your BK without a lawyer and you don't even know what is exempt. Go buy yourself a copy of the Nolo Press book "How to File Chapter 7 Bankruptcy' and start READING it. It goes thru every form line by line and tells you pretty much everything you need to know.

Now, the WA exemptions can be found on line in many places, here's one:

http://www.bankruptcyaction.com/waexemptions.htm

In addition you ARE allowed to use FEDERAL exemptions in WA, and they are here:

http://www.bankruptcyaction.com/fedexemptions.htm

In general the FEDERAL exemptions are much more generous.

You must list ALL assets. If you have equity in your home to exempt, you MUST list that. Same with the car. If your equity in the home are car is ABOVE the allowed exemptions, you've got a problem.

Child support is 100% EXEMPT.
