How do I remove incorrect bankruptcy?

On my credit report there is a bankruptcy that was filed 4 years ago. I was just informed of this when I pulled my credit report for the first time. How do I get this remove? It isn't mine...I only have 2 items on my credit report...my student loans and my credit card. Nothing else at all. Any advice is highly appreciated. The lawyers name is listed on the report but no other information other than the date when it was filed and settled.

Start with a written dispute to the CRA's. State that you have never filed a bk as is stated on the reports and please delete.

Actually, this is quite serious. If you are certain that you did not file a bankruptcy petition. I would contact the attorney of record immediately. It is probably and administrative error that he/she will voluntarily correct.
