How long?

What is the name of your state? California I filed bankruptcy in 1996 and the bankruptcy is still on my credit report. I have reestabished good credit. I would like that removed from my credit report. How do I do that?

bankruptcy is on your report for 10 years....so next year it should come off 0f your report. You could dispute the bankruptcy now but since it is so close to coming off of your report I would wait so that you don't end up with a charged off account.
