If someone filed for chapter 13 bankruptcy, how long until they can file for chapter 7.


I see that the new rule said you must wait 8 years between chapter 7 filings but does not say about between a chapter 13 and a chapter 7?

Also, are you allowed to contact the bankruptcy trustee if you feel that there is information which need to be brought to the court's attention?

6 years after filing for chapter 13 you can file chapter 7

You can contact the trustee whenever you want to.
