I Really Need Good Advise

What is the name of your state? ILLINOIS

MY HUSBAND AND I ARE CONTEMPLATING BANKRUPTCY AND WE ARE CONCERNED ON WHAT TO DO, NOT TO LOOSE THE HOUSE THAT WE HAVE THAT OUR SON AND HIS FAMILY LIVE IN. WE HAD THIS HOUSE ON THE MARKET FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND COULD NOT SELL IT. OUR MOST RECENT ASKING PRICE WAS $95,000. WE HAVE A MORTGAGE ON IT FOR $80,000. OUR SON AND HIS FAMILY MOVED INTO IT AND TOOK OVER THE PAYMENTS BECAUSE WE COULD NOT KEEP UP WITH THEM. THE KEY HERE IS THAT WE COULDN'T EVEN SELL IT FOR $95,000. IF THE COURTS TRY TO SELL IT, I REALLY DON'T SEE THEM GETTING TOO MUCH OUT OF IT, IS IT AT ALL POSSIBLE THAT THEY WILL JUST LEAVE IT ALONE AND MY SON CAN KEEP IT.
I NEED TO AD THAT THIS HOUSE IS NOT OUR PRIMARY HOME. IT IS A SECOND HOUSE WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SELL AND CANNOT.

Looks like you just sneak in under the Il. exemption.

With a home on the line, see a couple of lawyers and get all of your options explained.
