joint vehicle ownership

Hello,
Two years ago my now ex-boyfriend and I purchased a used vehicle for my use. I traded in my vehicle and put $1000.00 down. Since then he has filed a Chapter 13 with the van included in it. He was the only financer on the vehicle, but we both have ownership. He now wants to take the vehicle from me. I don't know what our bankruptcy laws in Oregon are. Do I have any recourse I can take to keep it? Can I purchase it? If so, how? Who would I have to talk to? The court Trustee? His lawyer? and, does he have to give his permission for me to buy it? Please help...I'm desperate!

Yeah, talk to his reps and see if you can purchase it back.

But it depends how far along the bankruptcy process he is in. Unfortunately, if he is the only name on the title, you may have a tough time.
