If I am in NY and I obtained a valid judgment against a resident of Canada and the only properties that defendant has here in the U.S. are trademarks, does anyone know how I can levy against those trademarks? I know that the situs of the intangible property is where the judgment debtor is located and you are suppose to serve the execution there, but the defendant is in Canada. Therefore, I thought maybe we could serve the domestic representative appointed in the trademark registrations, but I am not sure? Does anyone have any thoughts? |
