Question

Landlord/Tenant

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

Today when I came home for lunch I discovered I had no electricity. Yesterday the maintenence man had put a hole in the wall outside my apartment to work on some electrical problems that they had been having. I immediately went to the rental office to question if the electricity had been turned off to work on the problem. That was not the case. Something they did while working on the electrical problem blew out the electric in my apartment. The maintenence man, worked in my apartment all afternoon and by evening, when I came home from work, I had electric. While fixing the problem, he found that one of the plugs in the bathroom had bad wiring and had been 'burning' the wires were black. Anyway, when I went to turn on my TV, in my entertainment center there was nothing. I though maybe he overlooked checking that plug, but it did work. I diconnected the tv from the cable box and vcr, it worked. The cable box, vcr and stero do not work. I think something they did blew out these applicances. Is the Landlord liable. Are they responsible for replacing these items? I do not have renter's insurance. Someone please advise

How do you know that the claimed damages were caused by them??

What did the management say when you advised them that their maintenance man very likely caused the damage??

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
