Lawyer problems: what to do?

What is the name of your state? WA

We found a great lawyer and went through the fees and paperwork of Chapter 7 last Thursday....our seemingly very competent lawyer said it would be ready to file the next day or following Monday...I get a call on Tuesday saying that if i want to come in Thursday it'll be ready....On Thursday, an hour before my appointment, the secretary calls and says his computer just crashed and they don't know when it'll be ready but they'll call me....What avenues can i take to file a complaint? Is there anyway to get my fees back?

The only reason i could think they would stall is if they're afraid my creditor's meeting will fall during a christmas vacation or something????

Delays do happen when you file for BK. My advice is to be patient! It took us over a month to get our paperwork back. I doubt that the holidays have any impact on their stalling. It is likely that your creditors meeting won't be until January or February if you file this month.
