Lien on Property

What is the name of your state? Idaho :
We filed a bankruptcy Chapter 7 in 1998 At the time we had a second on our house and it was included. After the bankruptcy was done they contacted us to let us know that they could not send us bills or try to collect on the amount however they had a $10,000 Lien on the property if it ever sold. We refinanced our home recently and When we did before we could close they had to pay the lien off. My question is can they collect more than the $10,000 lien Total paid was Almost $14,000?
