Lost Bankruptcy Paper Work.

What is the name of your state? Virginia

Hello,
If this is question is in any forum I aplogise. I was unable to find any Q&A related to this problem.

Here we go, I lost my bankruptcy paper in the process of moving and now I need a new copy of the paper work. I tried to get neccassary forms and papers from my lawyer but I have not been able to get it from for the past four years.

My question is can I get my Bankruptcy paper work from another source other than my Bankruptcy Lawyer.

Any lawer with a PACER account can access the court's records and print them at 7 cents per page. All they would need is your case number. The court itself could give you copies, but their charges would likely be a lot higher.

You don't have to be a lawyer to get your own PACER account. Many, many individuals do, including Ladynred and me. All you do is register at the above site (FREE) and within two weeks they snail mail your user id and password. I haven't used it for a while but the charge was $0.07/page and you only got billed when your "account" reached $10. It is true that when you first access PACER there is a field where you are asked for a "law firm" (for internal law firm's billing) but this field is OPTIONAL. BKs are "Public records" and individuals have a right their own records.

send me a private message with your case number and the city/state you filed in, and I will pull your documents from PACER for you. Also, let me know how you want me to send them to you.
