Mandatory Company Credit Card

I work for Farmers Insurance Claims. My question is this: can they force me to apply for a credit card to use for company expenses? This card will be in my name, under my social security number and mailed to me at my home. I will be in charge of paying the bill monthly as Farmers will reimburse me to do so. However, this will affect my credit report background and I can't figure out how to support, if possible, how this is not legal.

It's not illegal. Your choice: get the card or get a new job.

To cover your butt, make sure you save all of the papers related to this "policy" of theirs. If indeed they say they will reimburse you and later don't, you can take them to small claims court.
