Question

Marriage and Bankruptcy

Filed ch 13 in the state of Wisconsin 19 months ago. Planning on getting married as soon as bankruptcy has been discharged. Will the fact that I filed bankruptcy hurt my wife's credit.

WI is a community property state, as I'm sure you know.

Her separate credit, pre-marriage, shouldn't be affected, but anything you try for jointly AFTER that is definitely going to affect her.
