Yes.
Your bankruptcy released you from the debts, but not your 'ex' (unless this was a joint bankruptcy), making her debt still valid since her name is on the loan (as in co-signer).
You say that the "divorce papers state that I was responsible". You need to read them again.... they probably only say that the PAYMENTS are your responsibility. As such, the divorce papers do not remove your 'ex' from the loan agreement. All this does is allows your 'ex' to sue you for the moneys that she will be out in paying YOUR debt.
Bottom line... the bank can go after your 'ex' for payment and she can then sue you for her loss. And since her damages are 'post-bankruptcy', your bankruptcy probably won't save you.
