Need advice on student loans.

What is the name of your state? Texas

in 1993 and 94, i applied for 3 student loans from my husbands company for my son. The name of the loans was "consern loan". we had not been making payments because my son agreed to pay them, he is not making payments now due to financial difficulties.
we filed for bk last may 2003 and was discharged in august. on our credit report it showed there were 3 different "wells fargo" accounts and under it was "student loans". i hadn't been getting any calls or statements from them until now. i guess the bk court sent letters and now i am receiving calls and letters. the total for the loans was about $4500.00 and now it is close to $10,000.00 because of the interest. i talked to one ca and she told me to make $15.00 to $20.00 payments a month until we could do better. they want to make a deal to pay it off, but, there is no way we could borrow money right now and we have no collateral.
right now we are living off my husbands small income take home pay of $1350.00 a month. my question is since it is not a federal loan can they garnish my husbands wages? or will they get a judgement on us, and what will the judgement do? we intend to pay it, it just isn't the right time.
