Need a quick awnser

What is the name of your state? Washington

My mother is getting a divorce. They own 2 peice's of land, Her husband left over 2 years ago and has not payed a dime on the morgage or for normal maint. She got a letter today stating that her husband was filing for chapter 7 bankruptcy, and if she wants to join him , she has to let His attorney know by fri oct 7Th, gives her 2 days to make an informed decision. They have a huge amount of dept, and she is currentlly on disabilty. He works for the state and makes over 50k a year.

My question's, If she does not join him in the bankruptcy, can she keep the land..? if she does join him, can she keep the house..? Can he do this, give 2 days warning before he files..? What are her options at this point.

She does not have a attorney.

He does not need her permission to file.
She needs a lawyer ASAP. Wa. is a community [roperty state so there is a rea; possibility that her ex's creditors will lok to her for the debts the husband discharged.
