question confused

What is the name of your state? Tennesse

We are in a Chapter 13 it is a mess, our payments keep going up.Can't keep going this way, Question, we wanted to refiance out of chapter 13 but still not sure if our home has enough equity. Need about 149,000. House is worth at least 159,500.00 or if the trustree will let us refiance on our morgs. Then file a chapter 7 on what is left so we can keep our 1 car and home. please need hepl our lawyer seems not to care.

Instead of a refi, why not just convert to a 7? See another attorney if you don't feel comfortable with this one.
