Question for Dorenephilpot

What is the name of your state? Maryland

Our 5 year Chapter 13 plan will be filed this week. Our atty has told us he feels the plan is fair, however he feels the trustee and/or creditors could object to our food expense and my husband's term life insurance which is $128.05 per month. He is 61, retired, with a few health problems which we would not be able to get another policy on him now if we had to give this one up. Our monthly food expense I have down as $750.00 monthly for 3 people because that is what we spend. However, this is not just for food. This includes toiletries, personal care, pet care, school lunches for daughter, work meals, and household supplies.
Our atty told me that I could tell the trustee this at the 341 meeting. Should the trustee know this before the 341 meeting? Will the trustee ask me about these expenses during the 341 meeting if he has a problem with these expenses? Will the trustee let me know at the 341 whether he will allow or deny us to include these expenses? I am very scared and worried about this. I know we have cut our expenses to a bare minimum. I am not so sure we can make it if they do not allow us these expenses.

Can you please provide your thought on this? As an atty, do you feel these expenses are out of line or unacceptable?

Thanks very much in advance for your thoughts and opinions.

PS: I also thank LadynRed for her input as well.
