Receiving monetary gift after declaring bankruptcy

I just filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in October and my debts were discharged. A friend of my family's gave me a gift of a stock certificate over x-mas that could be worth some money when the company goes public in April. If they are worth something, could the govt or court take the money away since I recently declared bankruptcy? Is this actually possible???? Scared....
