renting after bk how? What is the name of your state?Ohio We are in the middle of bankruptcy and chose to include the house(it is a modular on a horrible rented lot with a very bad school district) We have been trying to rent a home but no one will rent to us. I already know that the landlord obviously has his intrests to worry about but we have always paid all bills on time. We have no rental references besides friends because we have owned our home for a while. The question is how can we get a house? We have explained everything and offered cash on the spot, we also make pretty good money and have very stable jobs over 7 years with same company. Any advice will be helpfull. |

| This is a standard problem for people loosing their house in Bk. If you don't have friends or relatives that can help, your best bet would be to look outside the city limits for a private lease or rental. Rural property owners are less likely to check credit reports and will take you on if you make a good impression. Just don't have 5 cats and 3 dogs in the car when you visit the property. Check the classifieds for lease or rental listings that aren't using leasing companies. You could also check with an appartment locator service in your area. They would know if any local LL's have worked with recent Bk filers. |
