retention of property

State of Ohio

I have left my abusive husband and have no job or car. If I file for bankruptcy, will I be able to keep my house (and car, if I get it back)? There is no way I can make nearly enough to cover all the bills.

Depends on how much equity you have in the house. Plus, you need to be current on the mortgage and auto loan to keep them.
