| Thank you JenniferH. for your reply. My specific question is should my wife and I seperate our accounts in order for me to file Chapter 7 seperately. What are the basic prepatory steps for me to file on my own without destroying my wife's credit. Thank You, Michael in FLORIDA. |

| 1) If you separate accounts, whatever, then file for BK shortly thereafter, you could be facing possible fraud charges in BK court. 2) Florida is a "debtor friendly" state: meaning that creditors have a hard time collecting debts/judgments (just an FYI) 3) I highly suggest you get an attorney. He would be able to protect your wifes credit and answer your questions better than we can on this board. Plus, he would be able to assist you with any credit problems per say. Good Luck, |
