Settle judgment before BK

What is the name of your state? oh

I was awarded a judgment against two tennants that were not married. I was trying to get them to pay but the guy called me and said that he is filing for BK and he thinks that she moved away to Texas. Is there anything that I can do before he files to collect the money?

You can try hiring a judgment enforcement specialist like our dear JetX, but if the ex-tenant is really going to file for BK you'd be wasting your money. The collection activity would HAVE to stop once he files and if the debt is discharged, you'd be completely out of luck.. and out the money and the judgment would be null and void. You *might* try to find the 2nd tenant, there are people and sources for skip-tracing that aren't horribly expensive.
