should I / can I file?

Pa.

I'm going to try to keep this short.
my husband and i bought a home in may 05, we are getting so far behind that the mortgage co. started forclosure in feb..but we got income tax and paid most of it. we are still behind and struggling to make ends meet. we moved here from NJ.
we owe 05 taxes of 5000..and spring taxes of about 1500..and fall taxes come again in aug. we put our house for sale now.. and it expires in aug. 06
I don't know what to do, we are so behind on everything. the wolf has been at our door several times in just 1 year.
should I or can I file for bankrupsy? and if I should can I do it while it's listed with a realtor? I will lose this place..if i don't do something...help..

Talk to a bankruptcy attorney and get his opinion.

Yes, you can file for bankruptcy. Filing will stop any forclosure proceedings should that come up again. The fact that the house is on the market will not prevent you from filing for bankruptcy.
