Are State Unemployment monies owed discharged in Chap 7?What is the name of your state? Ohio My wife and I declared BK chapter 7 a few years ago (before the big change in Bk law). I included the money that I owed the State of Ohio Unemployment Agency due to a disputed case which I lost with them. The total was for several 1000 dollars. I included them in my list of creditors when I did my Bk Chapter 7 which was discharged. I am now in a position where I need to file for unemplyment. I am unsure as to whether that sum WAS actually discharged (since you aren't told what is and what isn't). Any thoughts? I REALLY appreciate any help as I am looking for a job but the possible Unemployment money could REALLY help out the family. Thank you. |
